GOLDdigger

I love hanging out with my friends, especially when they're so overjoyed to share their stories with me (haha..to the delight of one amused girlfriend..but even she laughs at the end and which he says he feels comfortable with me that no matter what he says in my presence I will not think more or less of him)...to which I will share a story about the difference of working in a cubicle versus an office...(I even got some help with the wording from the subject b/c this story deserves it!)

For guys, I guess they feel they can be quite "au natural" in their work environments, especially if they work in an office. Your space can be your sanctuary and you do things in there where you think no one will see/hear/smell...yeah, you get the idea. This is where you can find the guy being pretty comfortable doing what they do best. However, taking the subject away from his confined (door closed) environment into a space where it is shared with other individuals of both sexes, does not necessarily mean that the guy will always remember that the walls are only partitions and there is no door for one to knock on when they walk over to you. So while he was working away on his computer, he felt the need to ...er..clear his nose of debris. It took him more than a few tries, and he clearly tried digging for some gold...(his words were more along the lines of "working it"!) When he was finally successful, he looked at his "pot of gold" on the tip of his finger, and then flicked it off into never never land....at that point in time, he noticed that he was not alone. His new associate was standing directly behind him and mostly watched the last 20 seconds in stunned silence. First reaction the guy had was shock, followed with being flustered and then berated the associate for not doing his work. The guy felt bad for snapping at the associate but was embarrassed for being caught at such a natural habit for him (haha). The story is not over...another new associate came by to introduce herself to the guy, and of course, hands need to be shaken. Obviously, there was no time to wash his hands or use hand sanitizer.

Yes...stories until tears form because I was laughing THAT hard! LOVE IT!
P.S. Please do not shake his hand if you're ever to meet him...cuz you never know! ;)

Your 6th sense

So I ended up at a girl's gathering last night...some I knew, some I didn't...and I'm open to making new friends and just chillin' at the same time....until they got to round table..and by round table, they wanted to dish on boys....hmm..i don't really feel comfortable with opening up to new peeps so well...but i really felt the heat of telling them my story...wasn't fast enough to fib one up as i was caught off guard...anyhow, not really my style...so i did tell them a story...didn't really think they will know any of the 'characters' involved by association...but you just start having this 6th sense that all is going wrong...not that the 'story' had any bad points to it...just rather be more private etc...but just the sense that your privacy is going to be lost because you have the sinking feeling that one of these girls do know one of the characters....this city is too small...and after some probing...yeah...dang!...Your 6th sense really knows what's going on..those warning signs....heed them! ahaha...or have a laugh that you've just entertained everyone even if you are wanting to crawl under a rock just about now :)

it should be like this everyday!

Because today is Valentine's Day and all the movies on Movie Channel have something to do with romance...I decided to see this one again. I forget how much I enjoyed watching this. And, it is movies like this that have skewed our (my) vision for the modern day prince charming. (Sorry, our expectations are pretty high now - and I'm not talking about looks, but hey, if you're good lookin'..what a bonus! teehee.) Yes, movies make us believe that guys can be like this...that they will try this hard to make you fall in love with them...then you start to read an article forwarded by M regarding women in Japan who are bitter with Valentine's Day - Japanese women are fed up with a longstanding Valentine's Day custom requiring them to give chocolates to men without getting any in return. Men return this gesture one month later as a custom...but it's not guarantee! haha.

So what gives in that scenario? That the girl has to make the first move? Unfortunately, I have done a survey and most girls I know actually has stepped up first. What's wrong with the fellas? Hmm...I can buy myself chocolates but can still dream of prince charming :)

Isn't it Fate?

The man who said 'I'd rather be lucky than good’ saw deeply into life. People are afraid to face how great a part of life is dependent on luck. It's scary to think so much is out of one's control. There are moments in a match when the ball hits the top of the net and for a split second it can either go forward or fall back. With a little luck, it goes forward and you win…or maybe it doesn’t, and you lose.”

A dictionary definition of fate lists it as: the principle or determining cause or will by which things in general are believed to come to be as they are or events to happen as they do. Do you believe in fate or in luck? And if luck creates or is the outcome of circumstance, is that not fate? If things are already dictated out in life, and for whatever reason, we choose to make the "right" choice...is that not also fate? It could be perceived as lucky if what we choose to do is what we want and the result of what we make happen...and if fate has a deciding factor in it...wouldn't everything we do actually be a result of fate? I have probably said the same thing in every single sentence...what's meant to be, is meant to be...it's how you live your life that makes fate worthwhile.

You have got to be kidding!?!

After driving around all day taking pictures of ballroom and restaurant spaces, this was an odd sight. I am sorry if the picture is not too clear, but we were still driving as I tried to capture the image in front of me. I am used to seeing cars filled with teddy bears or some sort of stuffed animals across the front dashboard or even along the back window (can handle and got used to it)...but this my friends, was a sight to behold. If you can look closely, this person had DOLLS (ie. barbie-size ones) attached to the hood of her trunk. In all weird positions. It was like a playground of them. These dolls did not look happy. As we passed the car, I caught a glimpse of the driver. She looked like a normal MOTHER....

touche!

Forwarded by a friend...

""Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free". Here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage, why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire Pig, just to get a little sausage. "

recent amusing quotes

Some recent quotes that have stuck out in conversations with friends...quotes will remain anonymous...heehee :)

"Excel is very powerful...I suddenly feel so lame that I said that..." (being details is a-ok in my book..haha)

"People have Fan Club Members..." (will not elaborate on the connotations in case I offend anyone)

"If you give me a lift home, I'll buy all your drinks tonight..." (yah, you want me to be a responsible driver or??)

"That is so brokeback!" (who knew a movie could cause all this...)

UGLY LIGHTS...they do exist!

Hehe...this post is thanks to someone who braved a night out to prove that 'ugly lights' do exist in clubs and lived to share this supposed 'urban legend' (oops, oh yeah, i'm laughing er...giggling WITH you!!!)...i guess being inebriated does not help in the judgement factor (who decides you can walk in a straight line or not? your friend who's had a few more bevvies than you or yourself?) So with beer goggles on, can you really not sense if the person you're chatting up with is hot or not? Does it matter? If in fact, you have enjoyed the conversation (among other things) inside the club before the lights went on, does it affect you when you actually see her and she's not who you thought you saw? Do you continue to talk to her or stumble away trying to find the nearest exit? What would you do?
